Chronic Disorder-"Spit Man And The Masters Of The Universe"/"Big Smelly Fish" 12"

yes it's time again for my favourite band, chronic disorder. another limited as hell release, only 300. silk screened cover by the band themselves in 1985. i love the stains of each colour on both sides, greatly done. see the scans/pics at bottom. the lyric sheet was scanned so you can sing along to your favourites. my goal is to get Spit to comment on this, wishful thinking. great mix of different styles of music on this. i don't know the actual title to this album but the labels say "spit man and the masters of the universe" and "big smelly fish" so that's what i'm going with. the sound varies with each song. the loudest songs being track 2 and 3 and the quietest is the last track, so crank it up on that song. one of the great bands that didn't go metal in the later 80's and thank god for it. they released another lp after this that is quite different. it has some great tracks and some weird tracks. then they released another lp on posh boy and is said to be the worst posh boy release. i've only heard two tracks from it, but they are great tracks so i don't know what the problem is.
i looked for this forever. i looked on ebay everyday. i searched on google until the 50th page. then i realized, wait what about How's Your Edge. so i went into the swap department and found 4 people who owned it. i contacted all of them and only one responded. some guy from buffalo, and we reached an amount. thank you martin krajewskri.
"spit man and the masters of the universe" side
1. the final line 5/5 (great opener. the beginning sounds off time but that's what's great about the band.)
2. not funny (fascists cliques) 5/5 (great and loud. love the cow bell parts.)
3. fire 5/5 (greatest track, loud and amazing.)
4. amnesia 4/5 (slower song.)
5. my god 5/5 (all parts great.)
6. waiting 5/5 (on one of the big city comps.)
7. a sort of serenade 5/5 (fantastic guitar soloing. catchy.)
8. i see red 5/5 (they must have recorded this song a million times and every time it's great.)
"big smelly fish" side
9. a waltz/blood and honor 5/5 (great opening to one of my favourite chronic disorder songs.)
10. the gods are laughing at us 5/5 (straight ahead punk.)
11. nostalgia 3.5/5 (slower too.)
12. cold war 5/5 (i think it's "spit rants" (from first album) with a different name and added parts.)
13. america 5/5 (catchy too.)
14. away 5/5 (slower but great vocals,)
15. starting over 5/5 (always loved this song.)
16. leave us alone 5/5 (fantastic drum beat, vocals, everything. CRANK THIS TRACK TO MAX! at the end there is a backwards part and i reversed it and i think he says "we keep getting off beat" or something like that, decide for yourselves.)
overall: 10/10 strongly recommended (had to give this a perfect score even though nostalgia is a little weaker.)
i doubt you'll find this anywhere else. i should name this site, "The Chronic Disorder Praise Blog."

Chronic Disorder-Fred 7"

yes more chronic disorder. i must say this is my favourite band. i think they're fantastic and many will probably disagree with me. so sloppy at times but quite talented. listen to those guitar riffs. spit with his british accent (put on if you didn't know) is a great vocalist. their best attempt was their first 7" which i posted but will be re-posting the mp3s cause with the ones i ripped before, you don't get the full greatness (well sound) of the record. then the first LP is amazing as well, it's coming in the mail now so it will be posted soon. then there's this, it's good but not quite as good as i would have expected. only because of the second song. this was released by themselves and had a higher press run of 500 (there other releases are very limited to only 300). the year was 1984. so they're back at the humour (if you read the back cover of their records, you'll see what i mean). all the lyrics can be found in the scans at the bottom. what more can i say.
1. i see red 5/5 (great song. more like i'm seeing red.)
2. point: counterpoint 1/5 (just a mash of too much talking. if they just played the music, it would be good.)
3. s.i.w.o.v. 5/5 (my favourite track.)
4. gluttony 5/5 (great opening.)
5. eileen's 5/5 (nice.)
overall: 8/10 strongly recommended
too bad about the second track because this record would be flawless without it. i bought this on ebay a bit ago. i asked if i could buy it now because i didn't know how high it would go for. we set a price of $20 even. so he put the auction to buy now for $100 bucks and offer (so i would offer $20 and nobody would buy it cause $100 is way to much for that record). anyway someone offered him $40 in the meantime (the listing said it so i knew he wasn't lying). but he still went with me, great seller! and that's my story.

Insubordinates-1968/Rendezvous EP 7"

well the shipment of records i just got filled up the spot on my shelf where i put all my 7"s. so instead of cramming them all into the tiny spot (which i tried already) i decided to add a new shelf for them. all that's on it now are two crappy comps and a so-so record. soon it will be filled, i'm sure of it. well the False Prophets second 7" is already on it's way and i should get it sometime next week. i wish my post office worked on weekends. oh well, the guy down at the post office knows me know. i go there one a week. now when i leave he always says, "see you tomorrow zach!" we get a good laugh out of it, haha. haha, i think the last time i used haha in a post was way back on my first post/review ever, minor threat's first 7". anyway i think that's enough rambling for one post, more in the next post, haha (haha).
now here's what you came for, another record i was not aware of. i got this free from ryan of flat black records with my shipment. the shipment took a while to get but he threw in 5 free records and we were in communication the whole time, so i'm happy, very happy. i was very surprised when i spun this. not too fast but fast enough. released in 2008 on Feral Kid Records and CrotchRot Records. i believe these guys are from buffalo. i actually like the instrumental b-side better than the a-side. check it out.
1. 1968 4/5 (nice.)
2. rendezvous 5/5 (great no-vocal track.)
overall: 9/10 strongly recommended
see if it's your thing, then go buy it for pennies. i know you're sick of me saying this and frankly i am too, so from now on i'll just says scans (click on scans for scans, not those ones, the highlight scans, the word. well that made no sense).

The Authorities-Bourbon Decay 7"

***YAY! I BOUGHT THIS!***(((new scans uploaded thanks to Scott! go here for the back cover. thanks so much again Scott!))) well first off obviously i can't even find a cover for the album so i stuck a picture of them on here. if anybody has the cover or the record to sell to me, leave a comment. everybody knows about their fantastic Soundtrack For Trouble 7". i don't know the exact date of this release but i do know it was over 14 years after their first 7". it was released on Cafe Racer records. it is much more laid back then their first. very melo sound, i think. the singer hasn't missed a beat thou. so here's your chance to have a listen. did i mention he's a great vocalist. oh and thanks to mat dafuc for this (and many other posts).
1. bone your own 4/5 (good beginning part, slow part from middle to end.)
2. it's tonight 4/5 (i love the little guitar licks.)
3. jarhead 5/5 (best, great song.)
4. run n' hide 3/5 (alright.)
5. interlude: the natives are dancing 3/5 (quiet, straight jazz or something. kind of weird but i like it.)
6. the next one 5/5 (great.)
7. ways+means 5/5 (slower but great. great vocals.)
overall: 8/10 strongly recommended
is it rare, i don't know, i've never seen it. please, anybody have one?

Even Worse-Mouse Or Rat? 7"

(((re-post from if Dec. 6/09@12:56pm)))
when i say re-post i don't mean that i just add downloads, i do add more information and stuff. anyway, this is a great live 7". this was released in 1982 by Worse Than You!?! records. the a-side is just fantastic. the b-side is more slow but still good. yes this is the same band that is on the NEW YORK THRASH tape but with a male singer instead of a female. i picked this up recently in a local record store for $20 but i've seen them go for much more. the record hole is small and i had to carve it out a little so it could fit on my record player. enjoy my rip.
1. mouse or rat? 5/5 (great drumming. great vocals. probably because it's live.)
2. 1984 4/5 (slower but really good.)
overall: 9/10 strongly recommended
1000 were pressed, where did they all go? i've got number 672.

Agent 86-Protect The Earth 7"

(((i've taken down the tracks i stole because the guys site is back up and running so follow the link below to his great site.))) well i'm finally back. time for some rare punk. first off thanks to el blog de k-xi for the rips. this was released in 83'. they also released another 7" which is available at mustard relics. that record is more straight forward thrash hardcore unlike this one. this record is more on the slower side but enough fast stuff to keep it interesting. you wouldn't even know they were the same band. that's all i know about the band so here's the tracks, enjoy.
1. boutique baby 5/5 (my favourite song by the band. fast.)
2. zero code 4/5 (nice bass and guitar riffs, also good vocals. slower thou.)
3. i 2.5/5 (kind of a weird track, just listen.)
4. we are one 5/5 (great.)
5. sak 3/5 (the end is good.)
overall: 6/10 recommended
if you see it, it's worth picking up. but i'm unaware of the price, it might be high.

Big Boys-Fun,Fun,Fun... 12"

when i first heard this album i thought it was really bad. but weeks later, i listened to it again and realized it was pretty decent. i'm not really sure why this is considered hardcore punk (besides apolitical) but it is, so it's on this blog.

1. Nervous 1/5 (bad way to start of the album. slow, goes nowhere.)
2. Apolitical 5/5 (best and most punk song they ever did. should have started the record with this.)
3. Hollywood Swinging 2/5 (nice bass at the beginning but the rest of the song is repetitive.)
4. Prison 3.5/5 (solid song.)
5. We Got Soul 5/5 (lots of horns.)
6. Fun Fun Fun 4/5
(back to the faster side.)

overall: 6/10 recommended (but good luck finding one.)
only reissue is on their "fat elvis" compilation on cd (i wouldn't get that if i were you.)

Black Flag-Six Pack 10"

second best black flag record. just recieved this in the mail and found out that it was a 10".
it bothered me at first but now i'm fine with it. so, dez takes the vocals on this one and is pretty good.
1. Six Pack 5/5 (best song on here. great build up in this song. then they kick it in.)
2. I've Heard It Before 3/5 (i don't like the intro where dez is chanting and greg is playing that winey guitar riff. after that it's good.)
3. American Waste 4/5 (nice tempo. do YOU see your place in american waste?)
overall: 8/10 recommened (lots of represses.) last, good black flag release, so get yours today.
